Making Safe Passage to the Celestial City
Scripture: Revelation 7:13-17 (NRSV)
In this final episode of the Pilgrim’s Progress, one journey ends and another begins. Our pilgrims, Christian and Hopeful, finally arrive at their ultimate destination they have been moving towards all along—the Celestial City. However, one last obstacle must be crossed—the River of Death that surrounds the city. There are no bridges nor boats to cross these dark waters. One must wade in the waters of the River of Death to reach the city of light. See what happens once Christian and Hopeful begin their descent together in these daunting and troubled waters. Will they make it to the other side?
