God’s Extravagant Love
Scripture: Romans 5:1-5 (NIV)
The book of Romans is a beautifully written treatise on Christian faith, written by the Apostle Paul probably 20 years after he began his ministry of preaching faith in Jesus Christ.
I think what the Apostle Paul is articulating in his letter to the Romans is that we suffer, in big and small ways, and out of that suffering grow perseverance and character and hope. What I know to be true from my own life experience is that there is no disaster, no tragedy, no act of violence so awful that God will not bring something of beauty out of it. I’m asking you to know that, regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in, God’s love for you is absolute and profound.
